URBAN MOVEMENTS

Sakura, 2025
100x100x4 Acrylic on canvas
Sakura is my quiet tribute to impermanence. Inspired by the fleeting bloom of cherry blossoms, this piece captures the delicate tension between beauty and loss. The soft blushes and flowing forms shows spring's first breath.
Though rooted in nature, Sakura belongs within my Urban Movements series. It reflects how moments of stillness and grace can emerge within the rhythm of city life. In urban environments, we often rush past beauty without noticing it. This painting slows that motion. It's about pausing, absorbing, and letting go.
The colors are restrained, the textures subtle. Each brushstroke carries a sense of movement, like petals drifting through air or memories passing through time. There's serenity but also a quiet ache.
Sakura is not just about nature, it's about emotional presence in mixed spaces. It's the kind of moment you might catch from a train window, or feel walking alone through a city park at dusk.
Fleeting, beautiful, and unforgettable.
It's a reminder that even what doesn't last still leaves a mark.
