Turbulence is a visual representation of the mind in a whirlwind. This painting emerged from a place of inner unrest. Even though the painting is meant to show a turbulent mind, the lines are still defined as if there still is a sense a calmness amongst the chaos.

Even though the piece is meant to reflect a turbulent mental state, there's a surprising sense of structure within the chaos. The lines remain defined as if the mind is holding itself together despite the storm. The contrast between disorder and control is what makes this painting so personal to me. It's about the tension between falling apart and staying intact.

The turbulence in this painting invites the viewer to feel what it's like when the mind is loud, but the soul is still searching for calm.
